Rotary Drilling
Rock coring and stiff sediment sampling is performed using either standard diamond drill bit equipment or Benthic Geotech's proprietary thin kerf rotary core barrel.

Drill runs are 2.25m to 2.70m long producing
samples that are 35mm to 44mm in diameter.
Each rock barrel is fitted with a drill bit that is used for a single run. This ensures that there is minimum disruption if any particular drill bit becomes blocked during coring.
